Leapfrogging Innovation
Giving them a Better Chance, their Impact is Huge!

The vast majority of maturing innovation is linear innovation: improving a bit the state of the art. Making things easier, faster, more convenient, more efficient, etc. Very little of successful innovation is "leapfrog innovation" -- breaking new ground, exploring new directions, moving further the fence of the impossible. They are few not because their idea is so unlikely to be conceived, it is because their impact is so disruptive towards the powers that be and they unleash their trained "dogs" to kill the new vision.
Capitalism nurtures innovation, while at the same time it suppresses innovation. The powers that be who benefit from the about to be disrupted technology are heavily interested in ignoring, belittling, delaying, and at last resort owning the leapfrog innovation that shatters their business model.
The academic dynamics also works against leapfrog innovation. Most of it emerges from un-accredited sources. They require concentrated attention to evaluate and appraise. A scientist of the state of the art will not likey pay the necessary attention to a stray proposal from unknown and unimpressive source. The leapfrog innovators remain invisible in academia, and readily discouraged.
The most potent factor against maturing leapfrog innovation is the creativity of the leapfrogging innovators. Having described their innovation in principle, they, very often, move on to a different leapfrogging innovative idea that likewise is being ignored and suppressed. Van Gogh refused to sell his paintings in the streets of Amsterdam, saying: I am a painter, not a salesman. Same for leapfrog innovators.
All in all, society has a problem. We have no data as to how many brilliant ground breaking ideas in various fields have died on their way to the press. We celebrate when a patent clerk in Basel Switzerland shakes the world with his innovative thoughts. We need to make sure that all the Einsteins and the Edisons of the world will have their ground breaking ideas noticed.

Struggling Leapfrogging Candidates
A "Struggling Leapfrogging Candidate" is a properly presented highly innovative idea that has not been seriously evaluated and not fairly debunked by a credentialed authority in the field. The idea may have been ignored, or superficially dismissed.
The innovative pathways of these struggling leapfrogging candidates have been charted with the help of the InnovationSP methodology and the "AI Assisted Innovation" package (AIAI). In some cases the original idea people prefer to remain private until the idea is properly and fairly evaluated by the authorities in the field so that if it is found faulty, the reputation of the originator is not harmed. That is why in all cases the innovator of record is identified as the InnovationSP originator and the AIAI package developer, Dr. Gideon Samid [Gideon@DGSgo.com]
The D&G Sciences -- Innovation Productivity Corporation team is helping the leapfrogging inventor to present their idea in clear and logical way. In addition we present here a track-record page for these LFC (Leapfrogging candidates), listing their pathway towards serious and fair evaluation. There is much to learn from the wriggly pathway marked by these leapfrogging candidates, struggling to be looked at without bias or foreign interests.
D&G Sciences -- Innovation Productivity Corporation advises its leapfrogging candidate clients to approach the community with humility and respect. Very often what looks to the originator as the "invention of the century" is harboring a fundamental flaw that undermines any benefit thereto. The "leapfrogger" should persistently push for a fair and thorough evaluation of their proposal, but be ready to excuse themselves, bow, and return to their drawing board if the idea turns our disappointing. The community on its part should admit a non-negligible likelihood for unimpressive uncredentialed idea originators to come up with a breakthrough idea that escaped the credentialed experts. We all remember Max Plank who observed "Physics develops one funeral at a time".
