Evolutionary Milestone: Looking into Reality beyond Survival

Applied Physics Research Journal publised "Negotiating Darwin's Barrier" (Vol 17, No 2) arguing that an unbound body of physics is waiting to be discovered. This blog is a commentary on the article.
When we struggled to survive (We means the entire chain of evolution from single cell to singular human brain), we could not afford to allocate resources to sense and make sense from any parts of reality which did not pose a mortal threat. If we had ventured into learning reality in full, we would not have been survival ready, and parish. How special is it that evolution created the human brain - with which we built up an environment that finally allows us to pay attention beyond our survival needs.
But lo and behold, our Darwinian brain, so called, is not built to learn reality in full, it is built to meet our survival challenges. What is more, evolution does not like us to dig into the full story of reality because we might conclude that life is not worth it. Evolution needs us to remain positive on life and procreate.
It is very tempting, as I am sure many would do, to dismiss the idea of a big body of physics waiting to be discovered. We feel cozy with what we know, and are happy with how things are.
Some thoughtful friends agreed and said -- you will be branded as hallucinating and ignored. One of those who concluded that this idea of living in Darwin's cage will be dismissed, just called and said: Someone might see this new physics prospect as a way to build new, now unimagined, weapons -- and go for it. And then everybody will...
I would submit that unless we judge the likelihood for this thesis to be correct, as negligible -- we should opt in!
