In a prolonged war the better innovator wins. War innovation is based on effective study of the enemy you are trying to defeat -- not as he is at present, but as he would become at the time point of the critical future battle. That means one has to properly chart their own innovative course, and credibly estimate the enemy innovation trajectory so that when the battle is joined -- the enemy will be negatively surprised, not you.

This requires a special mindset. Normally each side plans better weapons to win against the enemy according to its state yesterday, ignoring adversarial innovation.

By training according to innovation science, one comes to the make it or break it battle with better tools and ammunitionThe effects has been seen in the two prolonged war in the world today: Ukraine and the Middle East
